“ I tried the Venus Cafe for the first time today for takeout. I ordered a green pepper onion and mushroom pizza. I got there early and got it as soon as he popped it into the box, so there was no time for it to steam in the box. I usually have my dog with me, so thats why I get takeout a lot. A little bit of flop at the beginning due to it being piping hot and loaded with toppings. Tasted great, and the price was good. This place is one of the goats of this style of pizza, ssbp. The only complaint is that they use sliced toppings, not chopped. And thats just a personal preference due to years of thinking I took a clean bite of pizza, and then a chunk of blistering topping comes with it and tags me on the chin. Lol. I went to the takeout side and dealt directly with the cook, and he was very nice. I have no clue about the bar area, but friendly kitchen staff speaks volumes for a place. Im slowly trying all the places that do this style of pizza in the area, and this one did not disappoint. ”

“ Obsessed with the pizza. Every time Im in town we always stop by here and order some pizzas for the house. This time my boyfriend, his father, and I waited at the bar and had a couple of beers and wings. So tasty! Peter was absolutely awesome. Very tentative and was on top of things like refilling drinks, grabbing napkins, and all out checking in with us. The place is clean and great size for taking a big family out for dinner. I highly recommend here for not only the delicious food, but the fantastic service as well. ”

Compared to lynwoods I would say they are similar but I would give it to lynwoods on overall quality of ingredients and would say the variety of toppings and selection of specialty pizzas at Venus would definitely make me a repeat offender there for sure. The pics were an hour late after we ate but in the Pic are cheese, all meat, and Venus special. ”
